Future Plans
While being honored to serve as Braselton's Mayor, I've also been elected/appointed in the Georgia Municipal Association to serve as: President of District 5 (2025-2026); Chairman of the Revenue Committee (2025-2027); Member of the Georgia Legislative Policy Committee (2022-present); Member of the Federal Policy Committee (2022-present). By default, I also serve on the Chamber of Commerce for the four counties (Barrow, Hall, Gwinnett, Jackson).
If elected to continue as Braselton's Mayor, I believe extended service in these areas allows Braselton to benefit from relationships built in the Governor's office, the General Assembly, the Georgia Department of Revenue, the Georgia Department of Transportation, and the business community of our surrounding counties.
For future plans, I will focus on maintaining Planned Growth as done in the previous four years because We SCORED!
Some specific items on the future agenda include:
- Adopting an updated Comprehensive Plan
- Adopting a specific plan for developing the land Braselton recently purchased in our downtown area
- Creating a family friendly Retail & Restaurant area in downtown
- Improving Braselton Park & the Braselton Community Center
- Finishing the Mulberry Riverwalk improvements & extending the Mulberry Riverwalk toward I-85 and Hwy 211
- Implementing $2M SPLOST park funds in Gwinnett Co & $8M SPLOST transportation funds in Gwinnett Co to build a bridge across Hwy 211 for golf-carts and pedestrians
- Expanding the momentum of Braselton Tech
- Supporting the momentum of Four Points Prep
Most importantly, the future of Braselton is yours to create, so I hope to hear your ideas for areas in need. The vision should always follow the need.
Braselton continues to become a model community that establishes high standards and demonstrates mutual respect. And as I've said for years...
Braselton can always be an attractive destination and domicile
