We SCORED!

Looking back at four years in office - We SCORED!

Improved Safety, Commercial, Operational, Residential/Recreational, Education, and Development.

In August 2021, our campaign launched with the idea that Braselton can always be an attractive destination and domicile.  In the last four years, Braselton SCORED under this administration.

IMPROVED RESIDENTIAL & RECREATIONAL

Our campaign promised Planned Growth that valued home ownership and created recreational areas.

- Never approved Townhomes below Braselton standards.

- Delivered a new Development Code: (i) only allowing townhomes as a special use; (ii) for lots under 20,000 sf / half acre, only allowing homes built of brick or stone with 35 foot driveways from the ROW; (iii) only allowing 9' (single) or 18' (double) garage doors; (iv) for lots under 10,000 sf, the community must include 1-acre recreational areas within walking distance of every home; (v) eliminated an often-used loophole to avoid codified residential zoning.

- Delivered less than 1,000 residential units from zoning approvals with each unit being closely scrutinized to match or exceed codified Braselton standards.

- Delivered access control and CESM access protocols for any road or golf-cart-path accessing Chateau Elan.

- Avoided over-population and over-saturation of housing and amenities at Del Webb Chateau Elan.

- Delivered an improved nature-trail destination with the Mulberry Riverwalk.

- Delivered a Mixed-Use zoning approval destination for Retail and Restaurant to surround a 20,000 sf turf recreational area, including a rooftop bar & restaurant.

- Evaluating a renovation to Braselton Park as a downtown destination to include a turf recreational area adjacent to retail and restaurants for famlies.

IMPROVED EDUCATION

- Four Points Preparatory Academy opened its doors in Summer 2025.  Approximately 400 students enrolled in a tuition-free charter school focused on academic rigor and high moral values.  FPPA, located in downtown Braselton, offers school choice to every K-5 student in Braselton.  While our community already has excellent schools, Braselton owns the land and building that allowed this new publicly-funded educational choice for your child.

IMPROVED DEVELOPMENT

My underlying philosophy on the role of government: Government exists to help create a civil and productive society.  More than at the federal or state level, local government / municipal government allows for community development.  The administration of the last four years delivered Improved Development through planned growth.

In addition to the above, Braselton benefited by developing excellent relationships with our surrounding communities and members of government at the federal, state, and local level.  This will benefit our Future Plans.
